Lookalike Audience

An ad targeting model that finds new users similar to your existing customers.

Lookalike Audiences (Meta term; called Similar Audiences on Google) are audience targeting models that find new users with characteristics similar to an existing source audience (customers, high-value users, recent purchasers). Lookalikes are one of the most effective paid acquisition tools, especially when seeded with high-quality first-party data.

Example

An e-commerce brand uploads a list of top-spending customers from the last 12 months. Facebook creates a 1% lookalike — new users in target geographies who most resemble those customers. The lookalike audience converts 2-3x better than cold prospecting.
