Platform as a Service(PaaS)

A cloud computing model where the vendor provides hardware and software tools over the internet.

Platform as a Service provides developers with managed infrastructure for building, deploying, and running applications — without managing servers, OS, networking, or storage themselves. Examples include Heroku, Vercel, Fly.io, Railway, Google App Engine.

Example

A startup builds a SaaS product on Vercel (PaaS) — they push code, Vercel handles deployment, scaling, CDN, and infrastructure. The team focuses on building features, not running servers.
