Kanban

A visual workflow management method emphasizing continuous delivery.

Kanban is a visual workflow management system originally developed at Toyota. Work flows through columns (To Do, In Progress, Review, Done), limited by WIP (work-in-progress) limits at each stage. Unlike Scrum's fixed sprints, Kanban supports continuous flow.

Example

A marketing team uses a Kanban board to track content production: Idea → Outline → Draft → Edit → Publish. WIP limits prevent any column from filling up faster than it can be processed downstream.
